Lisa Sciandra, M.A. Educational Psychology
Lisa Sciandra is an educator, mentor, and life coach with a deeply rooted passion for empowering others—especially young adults and individuals with developmental disabilities—to achieve independence, confidence, and a meaningful place in the community. With a master’s degree in Educational Psychology and over 20 years of diverse experience in education, coaching, and life enrichment, Lisa leads with empathy, energy, and purpose.
Currently serving as a Paraprofessional in Nassau County, Florida, Lisa supports students in developing essential academic, social, and life skills that promote greater independence and success. Her experience includes working closely with individuals in both one-on-one and group settings, reinforcing learning, encouraging personal growth, and fostering workplace readiness.
Lisa’s leadership extends beyond the classroom—she’s been a devoted youth mentor and life group leader for over a decade, and she’s served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to protect and advocate for children in the foster care system. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others thrive align perfectly with Socialbility’s mission of building stronger, more connected communities.
Marika Modlin, M.S., CCC-SLP
With over four decades of experience in Speech-Language Pathology, Marika Modlin brings a lifetime of wisdom, compassion, and connection to everything she does. She earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and has dedicated the past 43 years to helping individuals communicate more effectively and live more fulfilling lives.
Beyond her professional expertise, Marika is a proud mother and grandmother, and has shared a loving marriage with her husband, Randy, for 43 years. She thrives on building community—whether she’s playing Pickleball, enjoying time at the beach, or sharing thoughtful reflections from the Bema Podcast with friends and family. Her warmth and passion for human connection are at the heart of her work, making her an integral part of Socialbility’s mission to foster inclusion, growth, and joy.
Chris Von Doersten, B.A. Liberal Arts
With nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals with disabilities, Chris Von Doersten brings compassion, dedication, and a deep belief in the power of belonging to her work. Her mission is rooted in the conviction that every person deserves to feel accepted, valued, and meaningfully connected to others.
Chris has served in various roles within the educational field, working with hundreds of students and helping each one access the tools and support they need to reach their full potential. After returning to the area four years ago, she began focusing her efforts on young adults—teaching employability skills, nurturing independence, and creating pathways to confidence and community engagement.
Chris is thrilled to be part of the My Socialbility team, where she can continue empowering individuals to build lasting relationships and find their place in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
